After Youth Authority I didn't expect them to go in this direction, but it really works. Both albums are so different but work in their own way.

This release gave me new found respect for the band. I only wish it was 1-3 songs longer. I hope there will be bonus tracks.

I’m also not in the US and it’s gone here too. Must be a label thing.

I thought Youth Authority was pretty fun. You can totally sense the Feldmann on it, Which is why I’m happy to see these guys moved on from him with this album. Really digging this direction, production, and how different it is from YA.

Major props to them. Should be a good fall album.

Edit: Parts of this reminds me of The Used and Story Of The Year, which is funny bc Feldmann worked with those bands too haha.

I'm actually a huge Feldy fan. Not that I think everything he produces is gold in any way. I didn't like Youth Authority that much, but I wouldn't say it's because of Feldmann's production. I have much respect for the guy and his influences. A lot of the bands today owe a lot to him, but it's funny how he always seem to get blamed for the records people don't like, and not credited for the ones they do like.

Anyway, this is definitely one of the band's best albums.

Yeah. Interesting comments on it. I thought it was a really solid comeback album.

They always do this, they always talk down their last album whenever a new one is coming out. Ask them again in 10 years lol

Cardiology needs to be last solely for that Birthday song

eh, the second half of that album saves it from being at the bottom.

    Here we go!

Good Morning Revival (don't kill me)
    Generation Rx
    Cardiology
The Young and the Hopeless (although I hate the mixing on this and Chronicles)
    Good Charlotte
The Chronicles of Life and Death
Youth Authority (it's so weird how they reused song titles on this record)

Oh there's some of my favorite songs of theirs post-YAH on that album. I just hate that song that much haha

Agree. I thought it was a return to form after I didn’t dig cardiology

    Things have changed.

I believe it was a late addition to the album, most likely a label decision to try to squeeze out a hit. ... it was either that one or "Last Night." I don't remember.

Wouldn't surprise me. I really don't hold it against the good songs on there either way though haha

Only spun GRx once so far (really enjoyed it), so it's probably a bit too early for me to say but if I were to guess it's roughly on par w/ Youth Authority

I dunno, not too long after they dropped Cardiology, Joel said GMR was his favorite and that it was the most "ahead of its time" of all their albums. Go figure

Haven‘t yet heard the new one, so:

    Chronicles Of Life and Death
    The Young and the Hopeless
    Youth Authority
    Self Titled
    Cardiology
    Good Mornint Revival,

I’d put the Madden Brothers album above GMR, probably even Cardiology.

    Generation RX

    Youth Authority
    Good Morning Revival
    Cardiology
    Self TItled

I've never warmed up to their debut, but I haven't listened to it in more than a decade so maybe my ranking will change depending on how I feel about it. Similar case for Good Morning Revival, half of it is some of their best material and the other is a chore to get through. Cardiology is more consistent but the former has higher highs, so I'm not sure which one I prefer between those two.
