2014 Godzilla is fine but once Bryan Cranston dies I lose a lot of interest. Didn't have enough Godzilla.

 

2014 is a perfect blockbuster

 

The execution of the Hawaii airport scene redeems so much of Godzilla 2014

 

Literally no other movie matters this year.

Waiting to watch the latest trailer until the Endgame showing was an excellent choice.

ONE KING TO RULE THEM ALL is very my brand

 

I was slightly disappointed by 2014, but I still mostly enjoy it. Every monster scene is great. Really just needed to keep Cranston alive to keep me interested in the rest of the story.

Either way I am so freaking hyped for this.

 

I mean Cranston was easily the worst part of the film, and I say that as a huge fan

 

Oh thank God I'm not alone in this. For years I've tried to figure out why the Cranston take was so big for this film.

 

He was the only mildly interesting human character.

 

I am so stoked to watch a Godzilla movie on the big screen. I'm a very new fan, so the anticipation for this movie is killing me

 

Bryan Cranston is a good enough actor to draw your interest and hold it even when there is not a whole hell of a lot going on with the character otherwise. Aaron Taylor Johnson, not so much. At least it did not come through in Godzilla '14. He was fantastic in Outlaw King on Netflix though.

For me, Godzilla '14 is a good movie but not a great one. A few more minutes of footage featuring Gareth Edwards' fantastic eye for composition and sense of scale, and the monsters and the destruction and havoc they cause from a ground's eye perspective would have made the difference for me.

 

Which films have you watched so far.

As corny as it is, Godzilla 2000 is a good watch.

 

I thought the 1998 Godzilla was not bad at all. But I was in eight grade and the soundtrack was great

Man, saw this latest trailer for the first time last night before Endgame. I cannot wait for this.

 

Hope there is some kind of premiere or sneak preview I can fight my way into.

 

1998 me skipped some type of semi-formal dance to instead go see this gem of a movie in theaters. By myself.

I was 6 when the ‘98 Godzilla film came out and I still ate my spring cheese with a smile while watching it. 6 year old me didn’t see a difference between that film and the 60s Godzilla films I had on VHS.

 

I am ready.

 

I still remember the chills I got the first time I watched Godzilla 2014 when the MUTO was watching the plate son Godzilla's tail light up.
