Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

They’ve been playing new songs live for a couple years now I’ll believe there’s a new album when I hear it

The few times I had seen them, the new stuff was what wound up on Our Color Green/The Coloring Book. This was the first time hearing anything newer.

I know. He meant a new one that hasn't been played live.

They’ve been playing like 3 not released songs on their last few tours from what I can tell

I forgot to mention that they were having technical difficulties last night. Justin's guitar wasn't coming through at the start of the show, so they essentially played almost the entirety of John Lennon with just Chad, Travis, and Daryl. It was kind of awesome because that bass line is amazing and really held its own. People were into it.

  9. Godddddddddd I really love that song

I hope so. They sound great live still, and there is no one that sounds like them even all these years later. They will forever be a criminally underrated band.

I forgot to mention how much I liked the light show this time around, as well as getting to see them so close/at stage level.

do they still play with a backing track or have they rearranged the songs to be 1 guitar based?

I don't recall any backing tracks on the older tracks.

Granted I only listened to Fake History, but it didn’t sound like Glassjaw as much as they totally jocked their aesthetic

I think you have to say that letlive got pretty close to that sound at times and Jason was very heavily influenced by Daryl, especially early on.

    Original point stands though.

Just to add to this, it looks like they're playing new songs on this recent run that they weren't playing last year.

I think we're going to get at least an announcement before the end of the year.

Listening to Coloring Book right now for the first time in a while. God damn this EP grooves. The rhythm section has always been a big part of what sets Glassjaw apart from their peers too me, but it's on a whole other level on Coloring Book.

Every time I've seen them they've been a 4 piece, and I've heard sampling used in between tracks for effect and what I think may have been some backing for older tracks from the full length's that Todd played on. But the show at the Best Buy theater and this one there wasn't any of that except the long intro for John Lennon.
