You can have your personal preferences but White Pony is objectively the best Deftones album @ me as much as you like.

WP is the best from Deftones, but there's so little daylight between anything they've put out post-Adrenaline. They're all in the 7.5-8.5/10 range for me, whereas W&T is on that next level of 9+. Part of it is just that Daryl is so clearly the better vocalist, but even aside from that, I have to give GJ the nod on musical chops.

i really, really like the production on it. i like a lot of KNY, if Hexagram didnt exist Swerve City would be my favorite opener and Entombed is beautiful. What Happened To You might be my favorite closer of theirs but some songs go on a little too long and I tend to prefer the more aggressive Deftones.

S/T, WP, and DE are my 3 favorites but everything from ATF on is like an 8/10 at least so its hard to really find many complaints

So much wrong in this that I must insist we get back to just talking about Material Control.

I've never understood how people think KNY isn't aggressive. Swerve city, Leathers, Poltergeist, Gauze, Goon Squad are all really intense and heavy, and even the more chill songs have some real bite to them.

I do feel that the songwriting on the longer songs makes them feel a littttle much, like Rosemary, Goon Squad, and my least favorite Tempest

yeah thats true but idk i just gravitate more towards the S/T and DE.

WP is still an awesome album, I just don’t think it’s the definitive Deftones release like 90% of their fan base seems to

Fair enough my dude, those are definitely more immediate in a unique way, DE is such a dense and cohesive record barring Risk. And St is so tight too.

Wp deserves all praise agreed, but everything else does too
