Almost. Funny how we have already waited 15 years, but the 2 weeks since the announcement have been hell lol

 

It's really this last day for me, I'm so ready for it ugggghhhhhh

 

It makes sense, and is a pretty fitting note to end an album called “Worship and Tribute” on.

 

12:00AM EST time is Friday arvo for us Australians. Can't see them dropping it early now. Not impressed.

 

I dont even know what I want from this album, do I want it to be heavy, groovy, melodic? All of the above I guess

 

This doesn't have anything to do with gj, but I have a question about Australia. Are boomerangs as prevalent over there as I've been led to believe?

 

Such a perfect title. Glassjaw has always been about emulating their influences. I always saw the album as a love letter to the bands they grew up with.

 

Please dont answer this, I dont want to have my australian fantasies destroyed!

 

We have some decent boomerang action, but they're not like flying around 24/7. You'll usually see them hanging up in people's houses if they've made them themselves, I've seen some awesome designs, but they don't really get thrown around.

Sorry to destroy your fantasies. but also not sorry.

 

I am so excited for this album, but at the same time nervous. Worship and Tribute is one of my all time favorite records. How can they top it? OCG and CB didnt top it, but I still love them. Who am I kidding, GJ knows what they are doing, itll be fine.

 

I can live with "decent boomerang action". I also call dibs on that band name.

 

People in my neighbourhood use them as killing tools, but they are not as prevalent as they once were. Muscle Kangaroos are becoming a real problem though.

 

As long as the Roid Roos and the Drop Bears never form an alliance, I think we'll be alright.

 

I really don't see how anyone who loved W&T will be disappointed with this, impossible expectations be damned. FWIW, I also consider W&T to be their masterpiece and superior to the two recent EPs.

 

I love that video of that dude punching the kangaroo to protect his dog lol.

 

I think the 2 EPs were more of "heres some stuff we have been toying with" whereas this album is a fully thought out piece.

W&T is a great record, but, if I’m being honest with myself, sometimes I find Daryl’s vocals to be a bit grating on it compared to their other releases.

I was worried too but between New White Extremity and Shira? All worries have been erased.

 

Yeah. It's got a great hook and it's just so darn groovy.
