The surveillance state was extremely concerning and scary even twenty years ago. Can only imagine what they have access to now that would never hold up in a court.

I’m watching season 5 of the wire and I’m supposed to believe the Marlo case gets essentially thrown out because they did the wire tap illegally? In a post patriot act universe? Cmon

 

this is the guy that’s supposed to compete against Rogan and bro podcasters? Interviews are well done but none of these seems appealing to the avg straight male 18-28yo.

Is there usually comedy, sports, etc. in his shows as well?

Unwatchable! Arguably my favorite show, literally did road work on many of the shooting locations. Was wild lol.

 

This is well over my fifth time through the series, probably closer to tenth. It’s my favorite show ever without question

 

He isn't trying to compete against the manosphere pods, just trying to carve out his own left niche within a predominantly conservative dominated space. He has rejected the "Rogan of the left" label many times.

He shifts into a more serious tone when has guests like this on. Usually he is less serious. Right after these interviews he had a very popular comedian on as a guest. He veers off into stuff about fitness, anime, and video games a lot. He also does stuff with a lot of popular non-political video game streamers.

 

Hasan also readily admits that he needs to get better at interviews and that he gets too chatty with folks rather than keep it to a concise question/answer format.

Weightlifting and video games are probably the two areas he has crossover with any sort to bro podcasts and basketball but I don't think he ever really talks about it beyond him playing it for cardio that I have seen.

 

So I am leaning on the side of I do think that the manifesto was real, and I think the media and the feds were trying to suppress it because they don't want the idea out there that just one amateur person with relatively simple tech and planning can do his. Which is why they were pushing the "professional hitman" narrative before he got caught and the "brilliant sophisticated criminal" narrative now.
