Just got off the phone with someone who won’t vaccinate their kids for ANYTHING. Vaccines have all but eliminated diseases that were making the world a fucking nightmare of child death but the covid vaccine backlash has broken so many people. This probably belongs in the mental health thread because I am way too upset. I really tried just walking through vaccines and their success and forget about the covid vaccine but ended up frustrated and yelling before hanging up.

Unrelated: but I always saw Yashar Ali on Twitter for years and just assumed he was a legit respected journalist who liked to post scoops on Twitter a lot. Once I learned what that guy's actual deal was and his background of being a hanger on/gopher/leech for famous rich women for years it blew my mind.

 

That reminds me, Danny Worsnop's tik tok video popped up and he was claiming that him and most of the bands in the scene are mostly right wingers. I never cared for Asking alexandria so it took me a second to figure out who the fuck he was.

 

Like I said yesterday I fully believe it’s all about them wanting Trump to win so they can get their tax cuts, but I don’t think fear of retribution/Trump directing govt attacks on their businesses is out of the question either

I know the whole point is he’s surrounding himself with loyalists and this time he could anything he wants even if it’s illegal, but I don’t think the biggest stooges he could find would let him really do that tariff plan. It’s such an obvious disaster.
