Not really the point, I don’t think—I think the point is that Trump is the stupidest guy in history and even he’s capable of understanding how thoroughly the Democratic Party has abandoned and fucked over one of their constituencies. Why would you vote for Kamala Harris if she’s bombing your family and telling you to your face she doesn’t need you in her coalition?

okay, I suppose I get that, but I think it hits different coming from someone who was president and has a record on the Middle East that we can look back at vs just someone running landing a zinger against their opponent

 

To each their own, there’s plenty of reasons not to have a kid, so I’m only saying this for myself and not judging anyone who doesn’t want them. Personally, I always wanted to have a kid and if I started to feel like the world was so fucked up that I couldn’t even though it’s something my wife and I both want, that’d feel like giving up on the future/humanity. Which I just… don’t feel in my bones. Things have sucked so many times in human history (been a lot more dire, even!), and there’s actually a huge amount of things that would have to happen from now to extinction. Again for people who don’t want a kid that’s totally cool, and for people who don’t want a kid because of the state of the world that’s also understandable. It’s just how we see it.

Plus, idk I think my wife and I can raise a cool kid.

 

Sure, of course, he’s a hypocrite. But he’s still right on this in the same way he was right about the Iraq war being a disaster even when he supported it at the time. When he’s president he’s almost certainly going to demolish the middle eastern country where my family still lives. He’s a piece of shit. But he saw it, and the voters saw it too, and the Harris campaign should be fucking ashamed
