I was a Infowars listening Ron Paul loving libertarian in like 2009-2011 in my early 20's. I then became apolitical and was very offline from 2012-2015. It was because of Sanders 2016 campaign that I got back into politics and went to the left.

 

Only three people have really mentioned the election to me today and all three are bummed trump won

 

Maybe there’d be less radicalizing for the worse if the options weren’t “stronger empire” vs “softer empire.”

Considering how hate-mongering Republicans underperformed in 2022, and how certain down ballot people & proposals did under this Harris disaster. Maybe the solution involves thinking more of people instead of less, and actually offering them something better.

2. Honestly it's not worthwhile considering in TX but I'm definitely planning on looking. Funny/sad thing about how ugly it is here is I had an aunt working the polls yesterday and she said the amount of Hispanics coming in who could barely speak English (she was the official bilingual translator) just clicked the trump box and hit skip on the rest of the ballot was extremely shocking. So that's the kind of community I'm looking at but I plan on looking once this haze of realization passes.

 

why is your poll working aunt watching the way people are voting and then telling other people about it

 

On the bright side, having two kids scream at me this morning because their mom's on a business trip for work and things not being as they usually are definitely made forgetting about the shitshow of last night's results a bit more palpable. i need to log off all this autopsy analysis though and actually get some work done...which is going to be impossible.
