I refuse to believe that all 71mil people that voted for trump are evil. A good portion probably yeah, but how many of those voted for him because he gives them a solution to their problems? That he even acknowledges their problems to begin with! The solutions he offers are wrong and bad and hateful, but when the democrats don’t offer anything to them, then they’ll go to the person who offers them at least something. Exact same thing happened in 2016 and it could have been prevented then and it could have been prevented last night.

The most terrifying thing about the Democrats' failure to commit to meaningful change and insistence on coddling the right wing is watching what's happening to young boys in America as a result. So many of them are so radicalized to the right, Trump obsessed due to the messaging they've received over their lifetime and the lack of any true opposition, and it's terrifying seeing that happen to their developing brains. Yep! To me, it’s not because a bunch of people had an awakening that they hate migrants between 2020 and now (although grinding them into paste is certainly not a dealbreaker for millions of people, which in and of itself is a very horrible thing, but also has its roots in how Dems refused to effectively message on this), and more that one campaign actually recognized people’s problems as legitimate when they said they were in debt and couldn’t afford gas or homes or healthcare, while the other spewed some bullshit about the GDP and unemployment figures and acted like people saying they were struggling were idiots and or assholes.
