Mitch barely knows who is is at this point. Which is why this is even shittier of Trump. He's literally attacking someone who doesn't even have the ability to comprehend the attack.

Oh so Chapo is doing an election eve liveshow in LA tonight and there are rumblings that Matt Christman will return in person for an appearance.

I’ll be at home tomorrow night, probably drinking and glued to this thread with election coverage on my tv in the background. I have Wednesday off work, thank god.

I just did the math on this and this logic would only work under the premise that I continue to WFH full time or get a hybrid job. Uber for work 5 days a week would cost me like $800 a month.

Car share ride prices have gone up because those two companies drove out any and all competition so now its just them. They did this by subsidizing ride prices to capture the market while never making any profit at all and in fact losing a shit ton of money. So now they have raised prices while also fucking driver pay further (again because they have captured the market) to just start losing a ton of money instead of a shit ton of money. This is all so they can continue to hope that they can go to driverless vehicles to maybe finally turn a profit.

my hot take on ride share and food delivery services is that too many working class people rely on gig work on the side to stay afloat for them to be eliminated, it would cause massive problems if those sources of income were taken away from people that rely on them to put food on the table and a roof over their head (myself included, i use doordash every now and then if i have a bad week at the restaurant) however the prices are becoming so outrageous people are starting to either opt out or refuse to tip. gig work is horrible and the only way forward is a complete restructuring that gives the workers rights beyond just being contractors but the mega corps running these apps have no incentive to do so and the government will never regular it in that direction

He'll be old as hell AND at that point would be a two time loser. Even with the cult status he has, I feel like he'd be much more vulnerable in a primary. Given his ego, he'd probably be better off sitting out and playing kingmaker so he doesn't have the humiliation of losing a primary

While I'm wary to be excit led about tomorrow due to 2016 and the over confidence that was crushed, this year has at least delivered in providing some great comedy in watching the GOP implode.

So its a two fold thing, they are jacking up their price of service and they are going to keep funding their R&D to eliminate drivers to cut cost.

Uber turned a profit for the first time ever last year (though this is mixing their rideshare, food delivery, and commerical transportation numbers), Lyft did not. Door Dash lost money last year.

And to be clear their Freight division is in shambles. Won't be surprised if they cut their losses in that division within the next couple years
