sometimes I wonder if I may have gone a little overboard a couple months ago when I snapped and went off on Freud and nearly lost my mind but now think I went a little too easy

 

if a democrats loses their election the worst thing that happens to them is they lose their office. none of them feel any tangible results if republicans win in their day to day lives outside of their own want for power

Yeah, I said a general statement and then expanded in it when you questioned. And uh, I kinda already answered your question lol. It's sad that we live in a world where not only genocide is happening but that our country is complicit and that neither candidate has stated their intention to cut off Israel and save the Palestinians people. It's sad that this is an election year so in an election this important most people can't base their decision to vote and on who, on this since specific issue. Because as evidenced, the majority of the public doesn't approve of the way the Gaza situation is being handled and our relationship with Israel. HOWEVER, the majority of Americans are also voting on issues more closely related to stuff going on here rather than there. It's sad that some people have to feel conflicted with their values/morals and are choosing to vote for the lesser of two evils.

Yes. You identified two groups of people. A majority who place more importance on domestic issues and a minority that do not. You then said you hope that the minority gets larger. But you are part of the majority. How do you square this?

 

I think Freud is a good well meaning guy. Just a little lost in the sauce. The election will be over soon and we can go back to our regularly scheduled programming

 

I miss those days too when my biggest concern was if I would have enough time to go to the gym to lift weights and work my shift at Subway

I square it as me being one of those people in the majority that recognize that I'm voting for the lesser of two evils, that I'm not in favor of all her policies, and it's sad that I'm having to vote for someone who hasn't shown the most progressiveness in areas such as Gaza but I feel personally there's more at stake besides that. I fully understand others base their choice on overseas issues and that's totally ok and fine. But the American public, the majority doesn't. The minority I'm wanting to get larger is the people bringing attention to all PoC here and overseas so that people DON'T have to feel conflicted on who they're voting for. Sure maybe it's unrealistic but I'd like a truly progressive candidate that marks all the checklists! I want the minority who's so vocal that our elected officials actually LISTEN to what the people are voicing especially re:Gaza. I'd like that minority base to BECOME the majority so people aren't having to weigh one issue vs the other.
