I put my cartridge on my mom’s living room table in December and haven’t seen it since. I was like halfway done with it too I’m pissed. She claims she never saw it and I was fucked up on drugs at the time so who knows where it is now

Oh wait, you meant “rawdogging” the flight - this one is only an hour and a half, so low effort to rawdog it, not worth it

US government pretending to be against its own policies sure has the neat side effect of making it look powerless and incompetent huh

people face daily struggles and think “[insert sitting president/governor/mayor/etc] sucks”. democrats consistently fail at messaging and achieving victories at the same scale that republicans constantly do, that’s far more consequential than people complaining on social media. So I hope this post

was directed at Biden because what are we doing here? Sure social media is a factor in elections but you’re overrating the extent that the people you follow on bluesky or Twitter or wherever complain about Biden and underrating infinite legitimate reasons people are frustrated/disillusioned with Biden and the Democratic Party.

people campaigning for Biden/his team should absolutely be trying to get people’s priors to change and convince them, but so should anyone who supports more left wing policy. Because the lesson learned here by the Dem party and tons of normie voters is going to be spending big and creating tons of jobs also creates inflation and voters won’t like that so not gonna do that again. Cant emphasize enough how bad that is for any left wing economic/environmental/welfare project going forward. Getting as many people as possible to know and understand and internalize that Biden Econ policies didn’t do inflation is important, IMO.

I actually think your average person is going to think “damn, that dude’s old as fuck and when i watch him he frequently looks lost, and as if he’s shit himself” and not “i didnt mind that he looked as if he shit himself, i just wish he hadn’t brought socialism to the US.” The dems as a party, on the other hand, will never be left wing. They just won’t be. Worrying about what they will or won’t do is stupid imo. If they win, if they lose, whatever the case is. They’re designed to snuff that shit out.

Also, how come the answer will have to come down to “Biden losing will be blamed on his economic policies were left wing” (which, lol) and not “Biden losing will be due to having effectively sanctioned a genocide.”

The answer is because good faith has nothing to do with it. If your concern is that Biden’s loss will prevent left politics from prevailing in the future (which i do not believe), i feel like it’s simpler to point out that that’s a false premise than it is to be like “actually his policies are left wing, and they are good, and your life actually isn’t that bad, and voting for this guy who obviously sucks is completely necessary to achieving your goals, even as he largely vocally opposes them.” You tie yourself into knots for a party that will never, ever be left wing on its own volition. I don’t think that furthers the cause of left policy.

because majority of people don’t think Biden is “effectively sanctioning genocide”, it’s really a subset of a younger age group that does. Everyone else either thinks the U.S. is doing the right amount or not doing enough to support Israel. When it comes down to it, the reporting is going to focus on the economy/inflation over Israel outside of some smaller side stories about how it cost him some young voters and some Muslim voters. I know it doesn’t feel like that here/amongst leftists on the internet, but that is the reality of public opinion in the country.

and yes, The Democratic Party is the vehicle in which you will get left wing policy and left wing enforcement via the bureaucracy at the federal level. No one ever said “of its own volition”…that’s where elections, the electorate, and candidates come in! If you think some other party is going to come along and do it, then “brother, good luck”.

If you don’t think it’s ever going to happen at all (which I would say you’re wrong since we got left wing policy on certain areas out of current and previous Democratic presidencies), then what are you even involved in the political process for? Doesn’t matter what you achieve on the local level at that point as most of the big problems facing the country and world require national action to reverse/fix/do anything about. Can’t individual/small group/local politics/states rights your way out of nearly any of them.
