I never quoted you. I responded to someone else’s point. If you didn’t like their comment, and didn’t like my response to their comment, maybe ask why people would read your comment the way they did and think of clearer ways to frame your point.

That said, I agree with what you said earlier - I don’t care who people do or don’t vote for, ultimately. Let’s leave it there.

 

Okay. I thought that your comment was referencing mine due to the similar words. My mistake if it was not.

Just to put it in the record, I wasn’t attempting to call you or anyone else out in this thread with my post. I was speaking about voters/potential voters in general.

I understand why a lot of you are not wanting to vote and can certainly see the reason and logic behind it.

It's not that I want Joe Biden to win but I certainly want Trump to lose, and to see the consensus in here start to take shape that Trump will win stresses me the fuckkkk out. I need some reassurance!

 

I'm convinced the outcome will be the same no matter who wins and this is all performative bullshit.

I worry that 4 years is too far removed from just how bad a Trump presidency was, and Biden is just completely uninspiring and isn’t even running on policy at this point. I think he largely won on an anti-trump vote at the margins in the last election and I don’t know that the same turn out is going to happen for him this time, where I think Trump’s turn out will be about the same.

 

Might watch some of the debate out of morbid curiosity, but I've really been doing my best to detach myself from this election cycle. Really not good for the mental health to be invested in this anymore.

 

I think people are underestimating how despised joe biden is among crucial voters that he will need to vote for him in order to win and people are also purposely downplaying how bad of a campaign he is running / how poor of a candidate he actually is

 

It's also a pretty weird election season in that neither candidate is really even bother to campaign. I mean it's nearly July already and just like...nothing has happened other than a rally here and there and a cut the malarkey digital ad

I am going to watch the Majority Report's simulcast because watching them drink during it is fucking hilarious and because fuck CNN with how they are threatening these type of simulcasts.

 

there is definitely this aspect of 4 yrs being too far removed for many people's attention spans / thinking these days, and I also worry that people are discounting how disorganized and incompetent trump's administration was when he first took office, whereas this time around we are facing the prospect of things like Project 2025 as well as a more motivated trump with a vendetta

 

Yeah my new job got me outside of my bubble a bit and the number of folks that talk about "Bidenomics" and how bad inflation is and how they got free money under Trump is wild

 

Colleagues - all Republicans, so it's not like they were going to vote for anybody else anyway - that were saying two years ago that they don't like Trump now say things like "I don't mind him anymore now that he's been keeping quiet."

I'm still not even sure why Biden agreed to debates anyway, especially in June. Is that them prepping for him to get smoked? So he has time to recover in the lead up to the election?

 

I heard somewhere that they may have Monday to release some as well. We already know they're delaying the biggest ones until after the debate to avoid making news for their boy Donny.

 

Biden is going to stumble on some words but is otherwise not the mindless zombie people think he is due to 10-15 second clips being spread on social media. He's got a much better grasp of issues than Trump does and it'll show tonight
