Oh no, I live in West Bloomfield in Michigan. We’re a little further north (closer to Flint) and we’re surrounded by lakes out here so it’s a fairly open area mostly removed from larger cities.

My Spanish teacher in college was a flamboyant gay man who was half Peurto Rican and one of his favorite things to do was talk in Spanish in all the different accents from country to country. I can still sort of identify a Colombian accent thanks to his over the top impression of it lol. Wish I could remember more of them.

I think it started at my very first job at 17, I told my manager I was going to take my legally mandated for minors longer break, and they were like " you know, I won't care if you dont.. Your paycheck will actually be more if you don't take it"
