I was doing DoorDash for a bit to help pay for a trip and let me tell you, drivers make fuck all and people suck at tipping for delivery. I would get order requests that offer $3 and would take at least 20 mins of my time minimum. The app tries to pressure you into accepting that shit but at a certain point you have to draw a line.

without thinking too too hard about the exact math, I feel like it should cost thousands of dollars to make another human being go get you a single cup of coffee and bring it to your house for you

    possibly tens of thousands

it should be something that only some fucking asshole like andrew tate or elon musk even thinks about doing

The only food deliveries I’ve done were when I was gifted a DoorDash gift card and a day I was sick and barely functioning and I door dashed some Gatorade.

I find it easier and faster to just do pick up if I’m not cooking.

we've done instacart when we are all sick with COVID or the flu and can't really go out but need supplies like soup, Gatorade, pops, juice, but that's really it. even then, we're much more likely to do the order at Walmart where they bring it out to your car in the parking lot, which yeah I get is still bad but like I said, it's usually a contact precautions thing

I live for Walmart curbside. It's cheaper than me spending an hour at any other grocery store near me

also my wife does instacart as a side hustle so whenever we have had to do it we always tip well

  12. My wife always does target pickup but they use a million fucking bags and never pick good produce so I refuse to do it myself

I almost never order for delivery, since I work from home I love an excuse to get out of the house.

But when I do I tip plenty. I tip well for restaurant pick up too, especially during traditionally busy times, because I used to work that job and it’s hell.

We do curbside at target, curbside at various grocery stores, and I do in person grocery shopping usually once a week at night when less people are there.

I refuse to do DoorDash or instacart

Seeing that dipshit Ben Shapiro go on a tangent about raising retirement age or getting rid of it all together sounds perfect!

Me, a 82 year old working person, certainly would be retained by every private company! Not like they try to get rid of you the second you turn 45 and make “too much money.” Great idea!

Yeah he doesn’t care about any of that, he just wants all welfare and social programs cut and everyone to be dependent on their overlord employers until they die.

honestly how are you not one of the most universally hated political pundits on earth with the stance that people shouldn’t be able to retire? Right wingers will overlook working until they die if you dunk on college students who identify as nonbinary I guess
