I never succumbed to the style but boy do I miss that scene

 

I know things happened here a little later than usual but I swear we did not have kids rocking that look yet in 2006. We had the "goth" kids that would be in all black and occasionally have spikey hair or a spikey mohawk or etc. That whole "scene" look with the swoopy hair felt like it started popping up a couple years later.

Heh, that was the one part I was going to have an opinion on as well.

It is interesting to think of it as something that now defines a period of time and at the time I thought it was still counter-culture, outside the mainstream, and not what those years would be kinda remembered for.

Playing the new Persona 3 remake is very strange because the game was made in 2009 and depicts some teh epic random xD <.< style posting in complete earnestness but now in the remake it is almost unintentionally and unavoidably framed as nostalgic and it's just strange

Harper’s Ferry NHS and the town itself are both cool as shit, highly reccomend to anyone. We haven’t hiked any of the trails around there but just a day in the town is cool.

 

Pretty sure I posted this at the time but here was a sign Harper’s Ferry denizen had hanging up when we were there in the summer of 21 lol
