With some things like climate change I can see an argument for some kind of plausible deniability for being on the wrong side because there is at least some dots you have to connect between the cause and the suffering/damage. Being so callous about an ethnic group actively being killed and displaced by the thousands and in a completely one sided campaign is so evil that I can’t see any way into redemption. I’ve never been super high on Fetterman but didn’t imagine he could be this bad

Last night my brother-in-law got a phone call from a "police officer" saying that he missed a court appointment, there was a warrant for his arrest, and that he needed to bring cash to the courthouse immediately in order to avoid being arrested that night. They also texted him this supposed "warrant" with his name on it.

Scam - right!? Well . . . HE GOT IN THE CAR AND DROVE TO THE BANK TO GET MONEY! And stayed on the phone with them the entire time. They were asking questions about which bank he was going to, the kids in the house, all kinds of stuff that wouldn't make any sense.

I've always assumed only elderly people fall for this stuff, but here's a VP for a major health firm in his 30's who actually was on his way to get mugged/hand over $700 cash. We convinced him to turn around and come home and call the police. They confirmed it's a rampant scam in our area.

 

I gotta learn how to be a scammer, man

 

I'm teaching the 2nd amendment in AP Gov today and I was looking for something to do in the last half hour and I found the Frontline NRA documentaries and I'm prob not showing either of htem today because it'll be better suited for when I do interest groups in the spring, but there's so many things I've memory holed or just forget happened until I'm reminded of them. Seeing Obama struggle to hold it together after Sandy Hook reminded me of all the ghoulish people and pundits that were saying he was faking it to garner sympathy so he could take people's guns or etc.

In continues to be absolute insanity to see the footage and people involved with that shooting and know that we did absolutely nothing to change it. Feinstein's bill failed 40-60!

 

Speaking of scammers, apparently RFK Jr. is doing a rally here tomorrow and I just got some random text inviting me to it. I just replied with "lol".

I listened to that episode last night and to be honest, both hosts seemed to be pretty shocked and slightly concerned about that.
