Tim Ryan ran a horrible campaign and got his ass kicked

 

I was happy with the VP pick mostly because it looked like the campaign was not picking Shapiro because of his unwavering Zionism. So to see the vp pick start with unwavering zionism has taken pretty much all the wind out of my sails. I just want the election to be over with

 

It’s a little weird to pick on Michigan voters specifically when making fun of undecideds. A Dearborn resident was just murdered by Israel probably with our weapons hmm I wonder why they might be struggling with these choices

I don't think Shapiro's Zionism had anything to do with not picking him. He had very shady baggage with possibility covering up several crimes that would have dominated election coverage, and reports from the vetting said Kamala didn't like how ambitious Shapiro was.

Walz was the only one that asked "what can I do for you?" and Shapiro asked "what can you do for me?" that is why Shapiro didn't get picked.

 

Yeah I forgot about the sexual harassment cover up. I guess at the time there were a lot protests and I was hoping his zionism had something to do with it. Clearly I was wrong

Tim Walz wasn't going to go out there and say "israel shouldn't exist" lol. They're all "zionists" in that sense but Shapiro's historic record on it seemed to put him on a bit of a different level above and beyond what many american dem zionists are. Like if they were just two random americans answering a poll on Israel's actions since October 7th, Walz is probably picking the "what israel is doing is wrong" camp or whatever the answer is and Shapiro is almost definitely in the "what they're doing is completely okay" camp. But the large majority of people in both those camps are going to believe israel should exist as a country and should be able to "defend itself" up to a certain point

But yeah either way I don't think that was the main reason he wasn't picked.

 

If he’s picking the “what Israel is doing is wrong” camp then last night would have been a cool time to allude to that. Otherwise, there’s no real reason to believe that’s his position, seeing as he literally said last night America needs Israel to expand in like the first 30 seconds of his first answer. Lol

 

Omg David he said the expansion of Israel is a fundamental necessity and he said this all began on Oct 7th. I think there’s some middle ground between that and Israel shouldn’t exist. It is an extreme and disgusting answer, and defending it sucks

Basically the story is in 2011 when Shapiro was PA AG a woman gets stabbed in the back of the head 10 times, cops for some reason rule it a suicide. 7 years later the family takes the case to Shapiro's office to get it reinvestigated. He sits on it for a year before holding a press conference doubling down that it was suicide. Then it came out the victim's fiance who discovered the body is a close family friend of Shapiro's, he never disclosed that conflict of interest.

 

Well considering the top of his ticket has only said “how they do it matters” and that’s a close as they’ve gotten to saying it’s wrong, I don’t think he was ever going to go out there and say otherwise lol.

Speaking of Silver, I just read his take on the debate (why) and he points to the couch fucking thing as an example of the media not caring about misinformation spread by Dems lol

 

In his first response, he said “the expansion of Israel and its proxies is an absolutely fundamental necessity for the United States”

 

Sure. So what are we basing this idea that he has a different opinion than that on?
