You joke, but I did that once (minus the tuck and roll). I was on our garage, which is only about 10 feet up, and my wife had gone inside to do something for the kids but I needed to get down. The thought of climbing back onto the ladder and potentially falling was way more frightening than jumping, so I went for it and was fine.

 

I used to do it as kid, but my parents' house was a ranch and the edge of the roof where the gutters were was maybe 10 feet at most and I was landing on grass

I hurt myself getting out of a chair the other day though so I think my days of jumping off roofs are over

 

But I'm a big fan of irony!

 

Yes this is actually the more accurate version of my post haha. Once I'm on the roof I'm actually fine, but getting up and down on the ladder is a terrifying saga

 

I almost roll my ankle every time I hop 1 foot off a kids playground platform onto soft wood chips when playing with my kid. I’d have fractures at like 47 points of articulation if I jumped off a roof.
