I did have my first bad experience for the first time in years. They gave me ground beef and chicken breast that both expired two days later. I do not like to be rushed to cook my meats dammit! And they do give me super green bananas and I have to wait like 5 days for them to be edible

 

I do miss this for sure, but saving myself an hour out of my day is more than worth it

 

I live by myself and work from home. I enjoy the 30 minutes walking around the grocery store with the hill people of western PA.

 

I get a lot of anxiety in grocery stores, curbside has been a godsend. It takes me 5 minutes instead of 30 minutes with employees hitting me with their carts and 20 minutes waiting for the self check out where half of them are out of order and there's only one actual worker there and the damn machine overscans and then says get an employee.

 

Curbside is good for picking up food to-go or like retail shit, but I agree with Grimace (yikes) that curbside for groceries sucks ass. I think the employees are purposely instructed to pick out the worst produce possible lol

Any lettuce, carrots, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, apples and bananas I've gotten from Walmart curbside have been totally fine other than the bananas being so green that I have to wait a few days to eat them. I'm picky and those are the only produce I eat lol.

 

Yuuupp. My wife however does not care so guess what I'm doing right now lol

 

A coworker recently told me a story about how they did target curbside pick up and one of the items had a chip in it so he asked the employee why they gave him a chipped item, and the employee replied with sass. So he got out of his car and went into the store to report her for being rude. It made me happy that everyone in the office who is listening responded with some version of “No. Don’t be that guy.”

 

Well, I mean in customer service, it's literally your job to be polite to customers. But yeah I wouldn't try to fuck with someone's job

There’s something very funny about not wanting to go into the store to pick up a photo frame but being willing to go into the store to report a worker. It seemed like the issue was he wasn’t asking them to get him a better one, he was asking them to explain themselves.

At my work, we do curbside pickup for groceries. The people doing this are 99% white women in SUVs, 1% everyone else.

 

If they use Instacart, it’s most definitely a random person off the street that picked up your order and not an employee of the store. We’ve had to explain to many customers over the years who complain about something being wrong with their order, we just stage the groceries and take them out, that’s it. Like you paid for the privilege of a total stranger doing your shopping for you, those things happen.

 

Fake bikers are lamer than real bikers. Like don’t get me wrong, being a biker in 2024 riding around on a boomer bike and acting tough is pretty lame already but at least go join a real motorcycle gang if you wanna cosplay that on the weekends.

 

fresh groceries can be grabbed at a grocery store, sure. But I’ve done it for them a couple times too and have had no difference in quality of the fruits I’ve gotten.

More like “if your store encouraged masking and spent money on cleaning the air and didn’t pressure employees to come in even when they’re sick, then maybe I could be seen in your target” lol. And also they’re getting paid hourly to do it. Much rather a target employee do it than me shoving another person into the store there via instacart while the company takes most of the extra fees in charges lol

this is the best part of curbside. Definitely save myself some money and empty calories every time we do it lmao
