I always thought that the best use for an NFT was its verification usage. On the general idea of it being something that is forever tied to your account as a verification tool against scammers, is a good thing. It won't be implemented how I'm thinking though. It'll be goofy ass bands selling goofy ass NFT's for 'presales'.

I am not sure how they work on the backend, but if you mean like google authenticator, yes. Something like that would certainly curb abuse and I think NFT's can be used in that capacity. (But I also hate google authenticator or I am technologically inept with it that I've found it a pain and got locked out of sites with it).

 

That WaPo graphic about what the bullets from AR 15 style rifles do to people...ugh. The little boy from Sandy Hook that they used for it has the same complexion and hair color as my kid.

There are zero good uses for NFTs

 

Why not just use already existing authentication tech instead of NFTs?

 

Watching that made me feel physically ill in a visceral way that has never happened to me before watching media.

The part that did me in was when it showed the bullet entering the little kid from Sandy Hook's hand, because as dry and clinical as the visual thing was, you know that was horrifying and painful and violent and terrifying and he was aware of it happening.
