He’s definitely going to Vegas again, isn’t he?

 

Yeah wait he came back to work for one day and is off til Thursday? Poor planning on his part.

 

He’s going to Encinal, TX which does not sound fun.

Came back Thursday Friday, going to TX for work Monday-Wednesday, theeeeen back to the office next Thursday

 

Pretty much nothing out there lol.

It’s not that far from the border though

 

If it’s a remote area, Love’s will put a truck stop there

Some really interesting local news coming out in my area about Church of Scientology meddling in a city project to build affordable housing in downtown Clearwater because Dave Miscavige wants to eventually build an L Ron Hubbard museum on the same site, and it ultimately led to the affordable housing development being canceled altogether. Also now tensions around it are getting heated mainly around longtime anti-CoS activist Mark Bunker who was elected to Clearwater city council a few years ago saying that city council was kept out of the loop about the doomed land swap deal the city manager made with the church.

 

I know these are also meant to be a shot at rich libs and are kinda downplaying what the local community was able to do, but still lol

 

Meh, all those shots would be 100% justified if this shit happened in July, but no extremely rich person is left on MV rn. Might as well be a Fall River suburb at this time of year

 

Yeah that was another part of it—I assumed the townies aren’t all exactly rich, and townies are def gonna be the majority of the post-labor day population lol

 

Apparently the year-round residents are about 1/5 non-white now and growing, which is kind of cool. I know Fall River and Brockton have a huge Cape Verdean/Portuguese creole speaking population too. Mass is so weird. I really think people would be shocked at the cultural difference between Western MA, Boston Area/495 corridor and then Bristol County/Southeastern Mass.
