I saw this same thing posted a couple different places today. Google states 86% of Palestinians as Muslim, with Gaza being 99% and West Bank being 85%, remainder being 13% Jewish. Just thought I’d put that in there context, i actually through there was a larger Jewish/Christian presence.

 

What am I missing? They are chanting to free Palestine. Where does the river to the sea come in to this tweet?

There are a lot of causes to this conflict, but one thing that just occurred to me, could this be in a way blowback from Jared Kushner's Abraham Accords? Without the backing of many of fellow Arab states anymoreq Palestinians felt like they had there was no other option.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but the brewing tensions and possible looming war between Morocco and Algeria can 100% be linked to being blowback from the Trump administration and Jared Kushner's middle east policy as well.

 

Definitely a factor, also a factor in Netanyahu's confidence in his ability to push through the judicial reform, which itself is a factor in this latest attack, etc

 

No, I know what you said means. But I don’t hear anyone saying that in the video and I don’t see any signs that say it in the tweet that you posted. But I know it was said at at least one other rally. Which is awful.

I think you’re missing the point that the vast majority of countries that commit war crimes are rightfully condemned for it, especially by the west, yet america gets to do whatever they want along with their little middle eastern pet project Israel

Palestine does indeed need freed. But that saying means more than that.

 

I am just going to assume you meant it as said in the wiki link posted and that’s all.

Oh god get that bullshit out of here. This is just a way to stoke fear and hate to justify supporting Israel’s oppression. AJC is a pro Israel org, they do not support Palestinian freedom. Maybe listen to what the Palestinian rights activists say it means

It was the top link, but hardly the only one. Seeing as I said Palestine needs freed, there is no reason to get angry at me. All my Jewish friends have posted about it. That phrase can have a deeper meaning. And I’m against the eradication of the Jewish people. I am also against the occupation and apartheid. I don’t want any civilians to die. What Hamas did was horrendous. What Israel is doing in retaliation is horrendous.

 

there’s two interpretations to the meaning of the term. the one used by hamas implies that all Jews in the region should be killed to allow their freedom.

the other interpretation is that the area should be claimed by people of all religions to create a multi-religion peaceful state.

such a delicate situation, seeing how israel has imprisoned and tortured the Palestinians for years. also, makes me feel weird showing any sympathy towards hamas with how they treat women and gays. they’re all pretty awful people here.

 

it’s been two days and people are still both sidesing this thing after several posts going in detail as to why saying both sides are bad puts you in the camp of the oppressor. sigh.

 

Is it fair at least to say in a climate where you already know it’s gonna be challenging to gain any sympathy for your cause, their tactics have been a poor choice if that’s something they care about?
