Ah yes, religion is why Israel had no choice but to systematically oppress another group of people and confine them into a ghetto

 

I find it interesting as well equating Palestinians as solely Muslim when that is not the case.

Hey pal, I'm going to go to your house and kick you out and live in it. Your family has lived in it for generations, your family photos are still there, your grandmother's furniture, your heirlooms. It's all mine now, and you have to now live in a place where ~97% of water is unfit for drinking, ~56% live in poverty, ~64% of youth are unemployed, ~80% are reliant on international aid, and ~70% are refugees. You will be shot if you try to leave by land or sea. Your children will be shot if you try to take them with you. What do you when you get back into my (your) house?

 

It's not because of religious shit, you lack an understanding of this conflict. It is about displacement, land theft, repression, apartheid, colonialism, and imperialism. You seem to have come in here assuming you know more about the conflict than anyone else. No one needs your advice on this. Read a book.

 

Point being of course that you don't know; none of us know what it would do to a person to live like this. If there are war crimes occurring on the part of the resistance where must they have learned it from? There are 18 year olds in Gaza who have never lived a moment of their life with access to the outside world and have watched dozens of their peers brutalized and murdered as they grew up. Where would those people have picked up the idea that such violence is a part of struggle?

One of the sides of this conflict is armed to teeth with state of the art military technology and the virtually unflinching support of every diplomatically significant western government and the other is a group of starving prisoners with support from 5 or 6 of the world's most maligned, outcast polities and armed with smuggled guns and cold war era artillery. The scale of the crimes of the more powerful agent are objectively greater, the extent comparable at worst. Yet videos of only one side's crimes are posted by weeping liberals for their Elonbux and only one side are subjected to constant racism from Western Media with no pushback and only one side gets the least bit of grace or benefit of the doubt

 

Doesn't matter how you choose to look at it, when you drill down it always comes back to religion.

the amount of unironic posts making fun (i don't know if thats the best term but whatever) of the weapons and vehicles used by Palestinians followed up with a "isreal is going to fucking smash them to pieces" without anything clicking in their minds is extremely depressing
