Our self checkouts at the local supermarket got smarter. I put one can of my cat’s wet food in the bag without scanning, it stopped the transaction, had the worker come over and showed an instant replay of me doing it. I wanted to die.

I 100% did. The worker was younger and just punched in his number and walked away. I’m sure I was the 115th person that tried it that day.

Usually I’m pretty honest with grocery store self check out but there have been some occasions where I pay with cash and when I would get change back, I’d get a $5 bill instead of a $1
