I mean that's pretty much true. But isn't Traverse City just yuppies from Grand Rapids.

 

Do yuppies still exist?

 

No, its become yuppies from all over. Lots of East Coasters and starting to see West Coasters up there. POS Mario Batali was hyping up TC like 10 years ago to all the foodie yuppies. West Coasters seemed to gain more steam once Covid hit though.

 

Yeah this lady is going to get the shit sued out of her for this as well.

 

A court case will take years and she'll grift herself into profit while people's rights are taken away.

Traverse City is actually a good case study in deindustrializing water fronts and creating green and recreational spaces instead of the typical method of doing everything to attract more polluting industry. By most metrics including the most important being quality of life Traverse City is a success story for what could be in the post industrial Midwest.
