I always assumed that was the case since some forums I've seen allow twitter embeds and some didn't, like I always assumed the forum itself had to do something to allow them to work or whatever. But again I am NOT a tech person lol

I definitely think that's at least a smarter thing to say, if not still lacking context!

Ukraine funding has often been tied up in other bills with shit that Cori Bush might like a lot, and view them as more important than trying to stop funding Ukraine in their battle against foreign invaders. But that type of shit is boring and not as fun to say as "Cori Bush is an imperialist", I suppose.

Like if lowest common denominator type people like MTG are presenting it that way, I feel like a good rule of thumb is to not do that.

Those watches are all extremely ugly. I am a huge watch aficionado but I can honestly say that no watch is worth more than maybe $2,000 tops. (Not counting when they just glue diamonds or some shit all over them I guess.) And even that might be pushing it. Any more than that and they are literally just for people like that to show off how much money they have.

I was skating a couple years ago without a helmet and fell from the coping down the bowl and the whiplash hit the back of my head against the ramp. My friend was concerned and started asking me concussion protocol questions like the date, what’s my name, who’s the president, etc. I was fine but he still keeps telling me George HW Bush is dead, not the president, etc.

 

I did a trail triathlon in the summer with some friends several years ago, doing the biking portion, in 85 F heat, and at some point in the race I hit a curb, flipped over the handlebars, and got knocked out once I hit the ground. Woke up a bit later with a cop feeding me a water bottle. Eventually ambulanced to the hospital (which cost me $1200 after insurance), where I spent 6 hours before leaving. Thank god I had a helmet on, which I managed to make a decent crack in

Thanks man; yeah I never play around when it comes to wearing a helmet; just too many examples of how it goes wrong when you don't wear one. Pisses me off especially to see motorcycle riders not wearing helmets. I even saw a guy once riding his motorcycle with his helmet strapped on the bike of his bike. Like, wtf

Man, that is just one example among probably a couple thousand for why I wanted to get out of the US (and Trump being in power just amplified my desire several degrees).

I had to get a non-cancerous tumor on my lower back removed last August, and the woman who assessed me and then booked the surgery said it would cost me 4000 NOK (roughly $400), and I was like "Whattttttttttt - heck yeah lets do this". Surgery took only 20 minutes and wasn't too bad, but yeah, that would have cost a good couple thousand in the US, even after insurance.
