update: it was 88* yesterday and when I went to leave work, the display said “stop safely now”..it didn’t do it again once I restarted it but my husband thinks maybe the generator thingy (I don’t know the actual name) overheated. That was a new one for me.

Having lived in Oslo for over a year now, and having visited a few other countries since, I realize now that most of Europe doesn't believe in the concept of air-conditioning for their homes and apartments, like it's a privilege and not a right. The only places that do have air-conditioning are commercial places and museums, so outside of those places you really have no respite from summer heat. I leave my window open all night now, yet it doesn't get cool enough to truly cool you down. It sucks

Edit: and then because we're so far north, it never truly gets dark at night this time of year, so even with your curtains covered over the windows at night, a good amount of light still gets through
