"Bipartisan" is not a word that should be lauded. A chill should run down your spine knowing that this was a government measure that was passing regardless of your vote, regardless of whichever one of the two options they fed you was selected in this outright mockery of a representative system. I know I’ve seen this chart before but somehow never really thought about it like that. Wild how many teen pregnancies they’re used to be. Maybe im eyeballing it wrong but it looks like that dip is like close to half of the total decline! And that’s probably a good thing considering teens aren’t usually ready to be good parents yet.

 

yeah its not as simple as just totaling the numbers because there aren't going to be the same number of people in each age group. But based on how the population curve works, the 15-19 is probably the most populated so if anything that means the drop in teen and young adult pregnancies probably has an even more prounced effect on the overall change in birth rates.
