And yes Christmas Vacation is probably number 1. I’m glad I’m not the only one who likes Jingle All The way, I use a clip of that in my Econ class to teach about supply and demand. Home Alone is also great.

my dog has severe separation anxiety and we have to keep the TV for her. there are certain shows like the Addams Family, Scooby Doo, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer that help her be less destructive.

 

We watched 1&2 this passed weekend. We can’t agree on which one is better (I say 1)

 

Its not so much physical age but Buddy has the mind of a literally child

 

I just saw the other day she's been divorced from Ben Gibbard for twice as long as they were married and, man that one made me feel old

 

Gremlins is a good Christmas movie.

It cracks me up that Love Actually is part of the Christmas canon when it’s super horny and centered around multiple cheating on each other.

2 is great but 1 is such a classic.

 

Also props to whoever brought up The Night Before. That one is great and underrated and I feel like it fell off people’s radar fast for being a funny Seth Rogen movie.

Jingle All the Way and Christmas Vacation are the only Christmas movies I make it a point to watch. I’ll watch Elf but am indifferent to it.

Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter marathons are also a winter tradition for myself. As well as Band of Brothers

 

I don’t like really like any of the Christmas movies enough to watch them once a year but lately I’ve been watching the White Christmas episode of Black Mirror a few times around Christmas and I’m realizing that’s probably not a good way to get into the spirit

 

I love that they signal that he's in America by playing Smooth

 

The best part of Elf is her ramen bowl

 

Elf is very good for most of the movie, but falls apart in the third act.
