can't biden just name acting positions for his cabinet and just let them serve indefinitely?

  3. Unsure. Maybe, kinda, (at first for a while, yes) but probably will see a SCOTUS fight over it.

There’s a couple of limitations to this. First the acting member can only serve for a certain amount of time. It’s less than a year, 200 and some days I think. Also the acting position I believe has to already be employed in the department they are serving in. So he can’t just appoint who he wants. These limitations come from an act that was passed in the early 90s or so.

  5. Has anyone looked up political contributions for the top people in the companies you work for? Disappointed I didn't find any. I'm wondering if the donations are under their significant others names.

I too have received my new favorite shirt in the mail. The best part is that I somehow didn’t even notice it’s Gritty driving the tractor until I opened it.

Would be interested to see the economic numbers between the two states too. Would be pretty funny (read: sad) if both were having similar economic growth/activity except one did it without killing off their grandparents

I still have access to my work email. They're temporarily closing down the only in-patient behavioral floor in our area to convert them to more med/surg rooms because theres not enough rooms. The 2 major hospitals in the system are filling up and are now transferring patients to the smaller hospitals to make room for the super critically ill. This is bad. Really bad.

Is there a good answer as to why Vermont is so liberal compared to other mainly rural states? Every county in Vermont votes blue, but then look at how red neighboring counties in states like NY are. Vermont fits the Bill for conservative politics - predominantly white and rural. But they don’t have those politics at all.

I was gonna say it sarcastically but the answer is hippies

Those three states in general (Vermont/NH/Maine) just have a relative unique politics in general. Seems like Vermont got the more progressives, NH the more moderate/libertarians, and Maine the more independent types

from what i get from having lived there a long time new england is just weird like that. its not liberal in the same outward way the west coast is. minding ur own business just seems to be more ingrained in the culture there then elsewhere. theres both pros and cons about that imo but as ppl keep getting priced out of that region i sometimes worry about new englands reliability in the future of staying a blue curtain.
