wow!!! I'm unemployed again!! I work in NJ (bartender) and my owners are "repubs" (they're rich white repubs, very very nice people, but complete morons when it comes to politics. They're classic in the middle about covid and hated all the shut downs but think its real and feel bad yada yada anyway).... but they decided to close down BEFORE any local/state lockdowns. On a Friday before a busy weekend (we had a lot of reservations/normal for our restaurant weekend...we even had a small wedding thing)...they decided to pull the plug because of thanksgiving and dont want the spread.

I'm legitmately shocked based on who my owners are. I'm almost thinking someone in their family got it (they're italians so they might have elderly living with them). OR they got a big rush of conscience? Or they really broke down the financials of the fall and realized that they just cant go on anymore (but why close down before the weekend?).

I could have seen them close after saturday and said lets be proactive about it.

Back on the unemployment line. STIMULUS NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW

 

Cases are rising everywhere! Perfect time to hold a crowded afterparty!

That or just the pandemic in general is a hoax, which i've seen floated numerous times, makes my fucking blood boil. Like yeah, the ENTIRE world, who historically has never been able to agree on something unanimously, decided to all get together and create a fake virus
