Liberals just aren't sociopathic enough to make the hard decisions in this country

Sure, Obama had to murder civilians, but at least the GOP respect him now.

Man, if I see one more dumb motherfucker whining about having to wear a mask or about a potential lockdown I’m going to lose my shit. Wear your fucking mask.

I think there's very valid reasons to be anti-shutdown, but not because of freedoms, more that there is no financial assistance and I worry about losing my job and apartment and car during an extended lockdown.

But if the government gave you money to stay home that would be socialism.

Totally fair point. This was pointed at the assholes whining about having to wear a mask at the gym or not being able to go get blasted at the local bar

Yeah, the reason to be wary of lockdowns is because we live in a failed state that's offering us the option to either die of starvation or risk dying of COVID, not because there's anything inherently wrong with locking down to saving hundreds of thousands of people from dying.

The whining about masks is beyond annoying. And I'm SO tired of these "medical exemptions"...if you have such a terrible condition that wearing a mask is impeding your ability to breathe (it doesn't, we literally did this at EMS training last night, my o2 levels did not change from unmasked to masked while sitting and while loading a patient)...you definitely shouldn't be out in public during a pandemic. Fuck off.

Yeah in Ohio there was an exception to wearing masks at work if you have asthma or other respiratory issues and I was just thinking wait shouldn’t those things make it imperative that you wear a mask?!

So much of this comes down to a massive failure of leadership by Trump. I agree there are legitimate reasons to be wary of a full lockdown - the frustrating thing is I think we could avoid having to take that step if everyone could just get on the same page re: wearing a mask, social distancing, taking personal responsibility, and showing a willingness to sacrifice personal conveniences for the wellbeing of others.

And so much of that comes down to the right messaging by the country's leadership. You literally couldn't pick a worse person for the job than Trump, who's only leadership tactic is to divide and attack.

People aren’t going to stop going to bars and restaurants and social gatherings as long as they’re open and legal and etc.

Not sure there’s another solution here tbh

I feel like there is something about becoming a CEO that just gives people brain worms. My CEO has made it a routine thing during the pandemic to send out a company-wide email whenever he or his family has a bad customer service experience with another company.
