  2. I'm starting to feel optimistic he just may do something on this ... which is ... uh .. weird to feel optimism? What is this tingling feeling?

It's not so simple, but broad strokes in my mind:

    a) Biden should push pro-democratic reforms that he can (shore up voting rights, give the Hatch Act some teeth, campaign finance reform, etc.)

    b) have a truly independent Justice Department and states (looking at you, NY) go after Trump and his cronies

If nothing happens and it's business as usual, we are so fucked.

It’s crazy that the guy who took down the Five Families in New York would be so bad at law.

He should leave the investigations up to an independent* Justice Department. The president should not be directing investigations into his political opponents, even if his political opponents are two-bit criminals like Trump.

*As "independent" as a department headed by a presidential appointee can be.

  22. Well, he's saying he would leave it up to an independent justice department. I think that's fair. I think Biden should hit the ground running on day 1 focusing on making our lives better, not on arresting trump lol

I agree that prosecuting Trump shouldn't be Biden's priority. Let the Federal and State governments deal with that. We've seen what happens when the executive and judicial branches get too close.

    That said, NO PARDONS.
