NH makes zero sense. I know multiple registered Democrats who voted for our republican governor. We voted for Bernie and Biden, and yet shot down the candidate backed by Bernie!

 

Even if the feds legalized marijuana, the states would still be free to criminalize it. So I’m not sure how much impact it would have with any consumers. It would probably help sellers tho

 

That's a fair point, but I think there would be very few states that would go that route. I could be totally wrong, of course

 

It would help in other ways, certainly with research with the scheduling so states could more easily legalize it. My biggest thing though is because of public housing. It’s cause for eviction and rejection from HUD housing, you don’t even need a conviction

 

If you’re going to legalize it federally then you need to do something about it being co-opted by corporations as we’re seeing now

The taxes in IL are ridiculous but I do enjoy the fact that I just drove home a little bit ago with an ounce of weed and not worried about getting caught haha.

 

Make it a right to grow and sell yourself I guess. But every time this gets brought up my thought is yes I want to destroy capitalism too lol

It’s not that they would re-criminalize it, it’s that they would still need to de-criminalize it. Taking it off the books federally doesn’t mean the state laws go away

 

My county's positivity rate is higher than 20%. What the actual fuck.

So many old, out of touch people were up in arms when they legalized it here (Ontario), and I genuinely haven’t noticed even the slightest difference in day to day life aside from seeing the odd pot shop. That’s it. I don’t even smoke.
