Should we be worried about those segregated ballots in PA? Could those reasonably be disqualified? Will they even matter?

alito already said to separate the ballots, not "don't count the separate ballots." if the ballots are separated and counted, they can easily be taken out of the counts if they are ruled to be uncountable, for lack of a 3whiskey+coke better term. these SOS and county clerk's aren't risking it. those ballots are in their own pile and can easily be removed from the count if necessary. 0 reason to worry.

 

Considering Biden’s lead in PA has grown for the past 24 hours, the only reason I can see for not calling it is that you’re giving credence to some mystical future challenge.

there's a non-0 chance for a recount that could result in the 269-269 tie that networks aren't calling it now. it won't happen, but it's technically "possible" so they won't do it

 

so there is *some* logic to be had that Biden's lead has grown due to the counting of mail-in votes, and that is mostly done, but there are still a bunch of provisional ballots and those lean Trump, and thus the race could start shifting back to Trump

but there is very little evidence it'll shift back significantly. +5k sure, +10k maybe, +20k worse cast scenario. So not enough room for Trump to come back. And there *still* appears to be some mail in ballots out there to get Biden's lead even larger.

I still think this race finishes ~50k lead for Biden rather the higher numbers talked about earlier, but he really should still be safe barring something super unexpected happening
