We're 8 months into a once-in-a-century pandemic, a reality TV star that oversaw the deaths of a quarter million people is the current president, and there are large numbers of his supporters being pushed to go to public squares across the country to demand either to STOP COUNTING VOTES or KEEP COUNTING VOTES depending on what he says for that specific area. If we're basically one state away from him winning and there's a legally dubious but in-bad-faith legitimate way of making that happen, the pressure will be insane.
