Castro would be good. Wonder what he could do from now to then to raise his profile a bit though? Cabinet position, governor in 2022?

We are still counting votes for 2020 and y’all want to speculate on who should run in 2024 like the next four years won’t be some of the most crucial in the history of the country (and world).

I'm just not that optimistic. I think after four years of nothing getting done under Biden that the country is going to swing hard back to the GOP side. Whoever the GOP nominee is, whether it's Haley or Cotton or one of the Trumps, is going to have a big public opinion advantage going in that I don't see how Harris can overcome considering she will have been part of the Biden administration.

hey he had to get his vanity POTUS run out of his system, that's just as important as stealing a historically red senate seat in a close election

i actually think it could also imply that democrats are doing the same thing they always do, nominate a minority and act like they solved their problem without any real policy that helps latinx

Yeah Mike, and once the NFL draft is over I look at mock drafts for the next year. It's called insanity and I don't need to be shamed for it.

that doesn't sound like a good idea to me, instead he should buy a bunch of casinos and inexplicably manage to run them into the ground while assuring everyone he is extremely good at business

I almost said “am I in the college football thread on the day after signing day” but felt like it might be too niche in here.

John James just got a big jump in total on NYT. Exceeds what he has on Bloomberg. Biting my nails over here.

again, I feel like the senate is more in play in '22. but I seem to be more bullish on that than some others here.

it definitely would be in play under normal circumstances, I just see the rubberbanding coming at us a mile away, and McConnell will make sure that happens by completely shutting down the Senate for four years

On the face that's what it looks like but Castro arguably had the best plans when it came to immigration and police reform in the 2020 primary. So nominating him would show they are serious about those issues

fuck. if we don't pick up any senate seats its gonna be really bad. 48 you could maybe get shit done with Collins and Romney. And also have a shot at getting back the senate in 2022. But 53... fuck

Yeah, margin is a bit over 13,000 now. Still about 20% left in Wayne County and 19% in Kalamazoo if their model is correct. But that might be a little daunting.

yeah he was my guess. i actually like him as a candidate but once again it treats hispanics as a monolith. though tbf at this point i dont know what convinces cuban-americans and a lot of the newly arrived venezuelans to vote dem.
