In 24 hours we are all going to be so much more fucking miserable, which will lead to days of absolutely misery.

at this point, hope is all I've got.

made peace with the fact that Trump might win again. and if he does, I'll deal with it then. but for the next 24 hours... gonna just try and stay positive and hope for the best. (probably won't do a good job of it. but I'll try)

  4. I think Wasserman's gonna call it comparatively early based on Florida counties if they're going the right way. So, if he is optimistic tomorrow I'll be more optimistic.

I'm not even going to do a map prediction, I have no idea what the turnout will look like tomorrow in the midwest to feel confident about it.

It’s simple math.. the numbers can’t be this wrong.. I continue to tell myself

  7. I'm also going to keep an eye on Georgia. If Ossoff wins outright, Biden could be the narrow favorite there. And that would probably be enough for my confidence level to increase.

If Trump does win (or even announces he did), dialysis on Wednesday is going to be a fucking nightmare. Between the 2 idiot techs and the guy next to me blaring Fox News for 4 hours..its going to be an even worse hell than it already is.

    Send help.

  9. at minimum I would be prepared for Trump to claim victory tomorrow night

I'm *fairly* confident about the midwest (sans PA). Not a sure thing, but MN/WI/MI all look pretty good.

Worried about the south. Honestly at this point my gut tells me the answer to "What's the most likely scenario for Wednesday morning" is "259/259 with PA left to be called. Trump is up but lots of mail in vote left"

but i'm really hoping for the "NC and FL called early, Biden win is likely by 9 ET, sure thing by 10 ET, and called shortly after 11"

  13. If we see something early, I could see it looking like this:

And not even needing to fret with Florida. But if we get any sort of early Florida call I'm going to be very happy. Arizona I am feeling better about at the moment. VA not being an early call in 2016 was when I knew shit was bad so I wonder how much of a bellwether it'll be this year.

What is making you feel better about AZ? Seen a lot of very close polling there.

Very good point about VA not being an early call in 2016. Granted its gotten bluer. So I think an early VA call is "Steady, stuff is still on track" as opposed to reason to pop the cork, whereas a late call again is definitely "shit fuck shit shit shit"

NYT will report Florida, Georgia, and NC tomorrow. I posted a similar map a couple pages back. I think Biden will take NC, FL but it will trigger an automatic recount, and GA I legit have no idea.

Maricopa County early voting numbers are way up, 2018 they flipped blue, demographics are in favor of Biden, and Mark Kelly is crazy popular and will probably help propel Biden.

  20. Ok, gonna go read a bit and hope to clear the head for tomorrow. Four years ago this thread was .... rough.

    Fingers crossed for something better.

I thought I read the ev numbers in Maricopa County leaned republican? And even Kelly's lead in the polls has been dropping...

Ossoff winning without the need for a runoff would be a dream result. I get that blue Texas would be nice, but personally giving Ossoff 90% of my "long shot dream" energy (Harrison gets the other 10%, I just donno if its actually in the cards for him)

    p.s. fuck Liberman

I greatly underestimated Biden’s appeal to the normies of the Dem party, def thought that was gonna be Booker’s bread and butter lol. I also didn’t think Biden would actually run but here we are.
