There’s people who think the defense did a good job in the Chauvin case???? What?

  3. who knows man. Nobody is debating that Floyd died under Chauvin’s knee. It just depends if the jury thinks he intended to kill him not

Like, he got mad I couldn't fix his computer, so I had to kill him

I’ve had people throw food at me while managing a restaurant and I just smiled and politely asked them to leave.

I’m more inclined to suspect a guilty Chauvin verdict simply because the way cops get away with these cases is by saying that they were relying on their training and using authorized kinds of force, and they have an entire police dept and trained experts to back them up.

With Chauvin, the only cops and “experts” backing him up on the stand are basically cranks. The rest of them are throwing him to the wolves because they know there’s no morally defending what he did even if it was in line with his training. Like just as a matter of PR, it looks better for the dept as a whole to publicly disavow him and pretend like he was this single bad egg in an otherwise perfectly fine department (which imo is why the defense should have gone more scorched earth and been like “All these trainers and supposed experts are feeding you bullshit to protect their own ass; what Chauvin did was absolutely in line with his training and now they are backpedaling to cover their own ass, etc etc,” tho even that wouldn’t be a super strong defense necessarily).

But if the cops who beat up Rodney King can get off then yeah, it wouldn’t be the biggest shock in the world if he gets acquitted lol

How does the jury actually vote on something like the Chauvin case?

If one person on the jury is like "cops rule not guilty not changing my mind" can the others overrule him or would that mean that at best we can get is a mistrial?

    Not here. Isn't happening. Supporter

A guilty verdict has to be unanimous, so if there is one not guilty vote it could be a mistrial. What usually happens especially in big a case like this is the judge will send them back a few times to try to get a unanimous vote.
