I know the obvious comparisons between these insurrectionists’ treatment & activists’ treatment have already been pointed out a lot.

Looking at this framing of it, though, it’s wild to think there’s a realistic path forward where advocates for justice end up tasting more of the repercussions for yesterday in the long run than Trump.

 

At this point he should not be allowed to Pardon anyone else.

Yeah I’m concerned about this as well. Also the statements (not by Biden) that protesters should have been shot because they entered state property after being warned to stop can be applied broadly. That alone is concerning for things like smashing police cars and police station windows but I also think this can too easily be extended to protection of private property during riots. I don’t like saying it’s ok to shoot and kill unarmed protesters or rioters.
