Biden’s answers on transgender people and changing the discriminatory laws against them were amazing

 

Somebody definitely needs to coach him on some of his phrasing (he said someone who "chooses to be transgender" shouldn't be discriminated against and he referred to a trans woman who worked for Beau in Delaware as "a man who became a woman") but yeah I mean for a 77 year old that's about as good as it's gonna get I guess.

 

I could've done without the "man who became a woman" or "decides to be transgender". But I think his heart is in the right place, even if his head doesn't fully understand it.

 

I made a similar comment on facebook that I just made about not telling him about dialysis...and this girl is literally messaging me trying to tell me it'll be fine. Illinois controls your insurance...its MEDICARE. A federally funded fucking program. Get me the fuck out of here.

The best Biden moment on queer issues will always be when he was asked during the primary how many genders there are, & he said “at least 3.”

ultimately, I hope people focus more on the point that even a 10 year old kid can realize their life will be better if they decide to identify as a gender other than the one they were assigned at birth rather than the phrasing.

 

Pretty much same, I really liked how he specified on trans people of color are being murdered at an alarming rate and that they need to protect them.

At least until the day i'm neck deep in the details of the next health care bill and I'm trying to explain all the good things in it to people who are only getting right wing media sound bites from it while also yelling at the TV "NO YOU HAVE TO FUND THE PUBLIC OPTION MORE" or whatever lol

 

The woman who asked the question giving the "no its higher" sign and seemed actually appreciative of the fact that Biden made her question about someone other than her and her kid because she knows there are even bigger issues out there... those two kids seem to have a great mom

A subtle but big difference between the candidates. Biden has empathy and despite the obvious disagreements in policy we all have with him, I truly do think he cares and wants to be the best he can be for everyone. Trump just wants power.

Yeah I saw ABC’s follow up show commented and showed that he was still talking to the people in the crowd. I think he even said that at some point that he would talk more with a person after the town hall.
