Trump will say he called for an end to the violence. GOP lawmakers will say it's absurd for Democrats to suggest Trump asked for this. And the Democrats will do nothing once they actually take power. There will be no consequences. This will continue to happen after every election not won by the Right from now on.

And part of me does enjoy people showing horror at the idea of non-officials being in the chambers. A true democracy shouldn't have a heavily guarded state that attempts to keep people out at all costs (although I do understand the practicality of this).
