The problem is that there needs to be more politics, on the left, happening outside the confines of the Democratic Party. I don’t think the squad folks are useless liberals, as individuals at least. But i also don’t see them as securing victories for the left/the working class, and i don’t foresee the conditions under which such victories will be achievable in Congress on the horizon, so they aren’t a meaningful improvement IMO. At best they’re functioning as, like, harm reduction within the Democratic Party. And they motivate people to enter politics further to the left than I did. But idk, waiting for meaningful change to come from Congress feels silly and i just want people to fuck shit up more.

As if any progressive challenger to Pelosi would get more than like 10 votes in congress. Progressives need to work on getting more representation in congress before getting formidable speaker challengers (which is exactly what they have been doing the past few years)
