Anyone know where Community Support workers such as social workers fall in the vaccine prioritization? My partner is one and really hoping she gets access sooner to the vaccine. Also probably depends on the state because I think state health departments are setting the list for their specific state.

So I see today's desperate attempt for Trump supporters to overturn the election is hinged on some nonsense concerning the Dominion software. I don't even have the energy to look into it

 

Didn't the electors vote? How can they overturn it at any point now haha. They are going to talk about overturning this election for four years.

One of the more surprising things I learned in law school is that the law actually doesn’t care that much about biological relations. When a kid is born, any schmuck could sign the birth certificate, and from that point on they can be held legally liable for that kid’s care (or at least it can be a pain in the ass to get out of it). And I believe that in most if not all states, adoptive parents are totally free to go back and change the names on a birth certificate if they want. In essence, there’s no actual legal designation distinguishing “biological” parents from “adoptive” parents; everyone is just a parent. And birth certificates are nothing more than evidence for showing who should be held responsible for a kid’s well being.

So for conservatives in 2020 to continue acting as if blood relations do matter in any way is pretty ridiculous. If custody/support laws don’t care about biology, then literally the only reason to distinguish gay and straight couples is because you think gay couples are inherently lesser

I do agree with @clucky that I'm not sure how concerned we should be with Trump's next "yes man" for the next few weeks. But I'm going to laugh at Barr's misfortunes in the mean time. It's the little things.
