I understand your point, but I do think the Dem party is treating this election as a repudiation of Bernie, AOC, etc. and I'm honestly not sure there's much that will change their minds. Whether it's fear of the right wing or just that their rhetoric covers up their own corporate sympathies, I think it's clear that the Dem establishment treats much of what their own constituency supports (M4A, Green New Deal, UBI, etc.) as political taboo. We have to keep pushing back of course, but I'm not overly confident that anything will happen for at least 4 years (and that best case scenario would likely require a return and the success of progressive Kamala)

For sure, I agree. We need to fight with direct action, and converting people that suddenly cared about things like climate justice and immigration law brutality while an obnoxious blowhard was hurting people and turning the dial up. At least we have people in power now that are accountable to the “resistance” crowd, we need to continue to make noise and disrupt the establishment. It might actually matter if we do it now.

Organize your workplaces, get involved in your community. Push for federal policy, sure. If someone is running for office who speaks to you, support them however you’d like. But the left was never going to win through getting people elected, it was always going to be about getting busy in your day-to-day life.

  7. What’s the exploitation available? Basically Trump created a group of Never Trumper conservative types, but those that are still on his side like the cruelty, like the racism, and the attempts to drive more former Republicans away from the GOP seems to not only fail, but see them replaced by more right wing, younger, more insane members.

They don’t seem to mind defending the Marg Greene’s of the party cause they will face no electoral consequence in their states because they are inoculated by a media and gerrymandered apparatus that protects them.

it's really only a surprise if you never listened to Biden talk, especially before the DNC started pumping him with tranqs every time he gets in front of a screen. He was never going to do any of the "progressive" shit on his website. He doesn't care about you. Believe him when he says that!

Of course he was never going to do good things. But the straight up middle finger of appointing these specific people is hilarious to me.

Yyyep. And how easy it is to manipulate low information voters. I've seen way to many latino and people close to latino voters talk about how the men in their lives are super into the "macho" bs act from Trump.

I just can't fathom that line of thinking and I'll never be able to.

I’ve thought about this question simply so I could avoid war... born in 1940 so I’m an infant/child during WWII and Korean War, become a greaser high schooler in the 1950’s, and then be too old to be drafted into the Vietnam War

Best part of the Neera nom is that, should she be confirmed, Ashley Feinberg is gonna stumble on her burner account for tweeting while in the White House in like 9 months or so. Because you know someone as online as Neera can’t stop shit tweeting.

I know there's no real logic here but like...how are they not deterred by the fact that neither Hillary or McCain ended up arrested? lol
