Would've liked to see more... doesn't even decry the police brutality just some weak "turn word and thought into action". But I guess if it gets through to the Brees's of the world its still a good thing? Its just like, the bare minimum of what someone in Rodgers position can say without making the situation worse.

that statement is weak imo in the same way locking arms instead of kneeling is weak. You’re stopping short of offending the casual racists and confronting the extent of the problem

gets very selfawarewolves for a bit there at the end. he realizes the situation is fucked. but then his racist brain tries to fill in the dots and so instead of going "wow the police murdered the guy" he goes "well the white guy can't be bad... floyd must have been secretly running drugs or something"

 

Went to the George Floyd memorial area in Mpls and it was so positive and energetic. It felt like a block party. There were tons of tables collecting food donations but also people making free food, and at the intersection a group speakers with a ton of people surrounding them. Really the most positive displays of humanity I’ve seen in a while. Makes me even more angry that the county police came in and broke it up after curfew on Sunday

 

Goddamn I cannot fucking stand tucker carlson.
