I do feel it is complex, for reasons I already mentioned in A1 but I will just leave it at I find it important to let people know what’s going on and document history.

I agree that some precautions should be taken but ultimately feel the ship has sailed on so much of this.

for one, the police are literally there at the protests so I don’t understand the mindset that it will tell police where people are. And does that still count when it’s uploaded later when people are no longer in the location? Like I said...to me, complex.

It's similar to the "good guy with a gun" fallacy around public shootings, you're so much more likely to kill yourself, or a loved one, than you are to actually "defend" yourself in any scenario like that. Let alone against, in the these hypotheticals, body armor wearing troops. Too many hours of call of duty or mortal kombat gets people thinking they know how to handle themselves with a massive false sense of security.

Seeing people talk about buying guns while posting manically and impulsively online and arguing with anyone who tells you that's not a good idea seems like the opposite behavior a gun owner should be showing... especially during a very stressful time.
