it's not. you're risking yours and your fellow protestors safety by doing it. post in support of the cause, donate when you can, go out if you can (put your phone on airplane mode and then turn it off), but you are risking too much by posting that stuff without taking precautions

I’ve owned firearms. And for numerous reasons, I no longer own any.

But at no point did I ever feel like I was “safer” owning one. And can tell you I didn’t feel that I could protect myself if shit hit the fucking fan. Certainly not against any military fucking force.

 

I have a shitty samurai sword I bought from a flea market when I was a senior in high school, so I'd say I'm pretty safe.

 

I get the impulse to have a gun, and generally I don’t feel like people should be forced to disarm by the state unless police are also disarmed. My mental health history should preclude me from having one. Telling people they need to go get one is weird, anti-social behavior.
